Scammers use videos to prey on gamers’ desires to play Fortnite on their phones

Fraudsters are hoping that a lack of patience will help tempt some gamers into falling for their scams.

The Sun has discovered a host of different Fortnite scams across social media – all related to Fortnite on Android downloads.

Rogue download sites ask for “verification”, which is almost always a scam

One YouTube scam involves creating a video showing you how to get Fortnite on Android.

The video clip shows a person demonstrating the process on their phone, but the method is completely phoney.

You download a rogue app, which prompts you to pay a sign-up fee.

Once you’ve paid up, you’ll be linked through to the actual Fortnite download link – and the fraudster makes off with your cash.

One phoney Fortnite Android video links through to a “free V-Bucks” website, which claims to offer virtual currency at no cost
To secure the “free V-Bucks”, you need to perform verification tasks – which do nothing but line a scammer’s pockets

It’s exploiting the fact that the genuine Fortnite download isn’t available through the official Google Play app store.

Epic Games’ cash-hungry billionaire boss Tim Sweeney decided against using the official app store, blaming the 30% cut of sales Google takes.

Instead, you have to download the game from Fortnite’s website, paving the way for twisted scams like this.

Another scam seen by The Sun lures gamers into a YouTube video for the fortnite v bucks generator Android download.

Fortnite Search Between challenges are relatively easy when you have a guide

So where’s your prize? That would be in the middle of all of them, Just south of the covered bridge connecting two hills by Tomato Town. The battle star will be on a dirt patch right next to the southern bridge entrance on the left.

Here’s where that is exactly on the map if that’s more helpful. If you’re zoomed out, you’d be between the L and the E in “Temple” on the larger world map, thereabouts free vbucks no human verification

And there you have your battle star. Search Between challenges are relatively easy when you have a guide to take you to the exact spot, which is why I enjoy writing them. free v bucks generator This is a pretty good one because you’re very close to Tomato Temple which is not a bad place to land if you want to actually go on to play a real game here.

We are only two weeks away now from the reveal of the legendary Snowfall skin, which you will get if you complete seven full weeks of challenges some time this season. If you ask me, this is one of the easier weeks, so I would definitely make sure to complete this challenge and all the others, especially if you’re going for the Snowfall skin as soon as it arrives in Fortnite in season 7, week 7.

I hope we keep seeing more of these Search Between challenges as I believe this is already the second this season, and while Epic is at it, I wouldn’t mind them putting treasure maps back in the game either, as those were a lot of fun as well.

How to Get Fortnite Snowfoot Outfit

The Fortnite Snowfoot outfit skin is absolutely one of the coolest (both figuratively and literally) outfits that we have ever seen in the game. As such, it’s no surprise that many players (including you!) are finding themselves looking up this new outfit. In this guide, we are going to go over how you can get it for yourself and what it looks like free v bucks generator no human verification nintendo switch

How to Get Fortnite Snowfoot Outfit
Fortnite Snowfoot

You can see the Snowfoot outfit for yourself in the screenshot above. It’s a pretty awesome skin that players can purchase and use for themselves. It’s also brand new so if you act fast, you can be one of the first players to actually own and use it. It’s a great way to show off to friends and enemies who may not have even seen or heard of it yet.

But how do you get it? That’s the important question that players need to know. Well, Epic Games released it today for the very first time. So, at the time of publishing, there is only one way to get the Fortnite Snowfoot outfit. What you will need to do is head to the Fortnite Item Shop and purchase it there.

As of right now, that is the only way that you can get it. It is an Epic outfit that sells for 1,500 V-Bucks. You better act fast, though, as the item shop will only be available for one day and there is no telling when this outfit will return.

Epic could do a better job at educating their users on these malicious programs

After some detective work, Rainway noticed that the 78,000 users responsible for the error reports had one thing in common – they all played Fortnite.

In an attempt to figure out why only Fortnite players were generating the advert related error reports, Rainway checked out a few YouTube videos that offered ways to cheat in the popular game.

“We finally found a match in a hack claiming to allow players to generate free V-Bucks and use an aimbot, two birds with one stone, how could someone resist?”

Sure enough, the infected Fortnite players downloaded the program that claimed to be a free V-Bucks generator and an aimbot all in one. Of course, the program was just malware. Rainway describes how the hack works:

“We then spun up a virtual machine and ran the hack, it immediately installed a root certificate on the device and changed Windows to proxy all web traffic through itself. A successful Man in the Middle Attack.”

A ‘Man in the Middle’ attack is when your data is secretly routed through a third-party location, instead of going direct to the source.

If you are worried about your PC getting infected, the simple solution is to not cheat and you should be fine.

Rainway would like to see Epic take a stronger stance against cheating and put more of an effort in removing YouTube scam videos.

Fortnite Item Shop Overview How to get V-Bucks?

Fortnite Battle Royale might give away various skins and cosmetics with the games Seasonal Battle Pass, but there’s another, much quicker way to obtain some of that high-level in-game loot; the Item Shop.

Epic Games popular Battle Royale game might be free, but you’ll need to spend if you want to get your hands on these cosmetics.

The item shop is filled with cosmetics – ranging from Uncommon to Legendary – and every night, at 1am BST in the UK, this item shop is refreshed with new items.

Sometimes the shop will release a new collection of as yet unreleased items. This could be new skins, pickaxes’, gliders, back bling or even emotes. But more often than not, sometimes it’s reselling older items that maybe you didn’t buy previously.

How to get V-Bucks?

As we mentioned, if you want to purchase any of these items in the shop you’ll need Fortnite V-Bucks. But how do you get the must-have Fortnite Battle Royale currency?

Well, there are two ways.

The first will take much longer and require you grind through the games daily challenges and Battle Pass tiers to earn yourself fortnite v bucks generator along the way. The big problem though is that these rewards are pretty small; especially when you consider one skin could cost as much as 2000 just for the skin.

The other option, which is more instant, is also understandably behind a microtransaction paywall.

The minimum spend is 1,000 V-Bucks for £7.99/$9.99. But you could equally pay for either of the three more expensive tiers:

Instagram crackdown on fake followers

However, the founder of Delectable Reveries, a food blog, Awal has 13,000 Instagram followers and insists on increasing her followers without bending the rules. “I got my 13,000 followers over three years but I know of a person who started around the same time as me and has over 200,000 followers,” Awal says. Awal’s perception is on track. According to Salman Moin, co-founder of Social Booth, a digital marketing firm, roughly 40% of Indian Instagrammers use third-party apps to increase their follower count. For ₹1000-1500, they offer you 25,000 to 30,000 followers, which you can use on multiple accounts, Moin explained. So, when a vendor approaches an Instagrammer, he/she basically has an account on these apps and uses them to increase the Instagrammer’s followers.

There’s bad news for such third-party apps, though. On 19 November, Instagram via a blog post announced it will be cracking down on such apps. That means that those who have increased their free instagram followers instantly from such services might see a tremendous drop in their follower count soon, directly affecting their business since follower count helps influencers determine their rate. In fact, Ayush Choudhary, founder, DForDelhi, a hyperlocal social media platform, says their rates are “entirely dependent upon followers”.

Though influencer marketing agencies now consider engagement (likes, comments) as a priority, all of this is still a factor of followers in some way. Choudhary says he considers anyone with over 10,000 followers an influencer. That said, Shudeep Majumdar, co-founder of Zefmo Pvt. Ltd, an influencer marketing firm, said that while reach is a major determining factor for rates, it’s not the only factor. According to him, the follower count holds about 20-30% weightage in measuring an influencer’s worth.

Yet, most experts in the field agree that a minimum number of followers will still be needed for anyone to fulfil the requirements to be considered an influencer. Further, the Instagram announcement is part of its ongoing crackdown on bots, fake followers and other such activities.

According to DForDelhi’s Choudhary, some influencers in India have already seen huge drops in their follower counts, even to the tune of 30,000 followers. He thinks this new move will also have an impact. On the other hand, influencers who have a genuine following are happy. Awal said she’s often overlooked by brands because she doesn’t “have enough followers”. Ishita Bhattacharya, an Instagram influencer in the fashion segment, corroborates this sentiment.

Is Fortnite: Battle Royale available on Steam?

Officially, no it’s not, and you’ll have to make sure you and your friends are playing on the same platform (PC, PS4 or Xbox One) if you want to compete together as a group.

With that said, there is currently a rather fiddly method you can employ which allows PS4 and PC players to play together. Check out this Reddit thread which goes into detail about this workaround if you want to give it a go for yourself.

It’s very complicated though, and it could potentially be patched out of the game tomorrow. In other words, you commit to an account in this way at your own risk. It’s probably better to wait for official support, if that’s the direction Epic would like to go in.

Is Fortnite: Battle Royale available on Steam?

It’s another “no” on this subject we’re sorry to say. If you want to play Fortnite: Battle Royale on PC, you’ll first of all need to download Epic Games’ official desktop launcher. You can grab the client over at the game’s official site.

Once you’ve installed the Epic Games launcher, you’ll then need to search for the Fortnite option in the interface and then install the game within that launcher. Once that’s installed you’ll be ready to go!

It seems unlikely that Epic will change this system and allow Steam downloads in the future, but if the publisher chooses to do so at any point then we’ll update this article. free fortnite redeem code [[freevbucks]]
